About Oxm Engineering Corp.

Four decades of engineering excellence serving clients across Canada and beyond.

Our Story

Oxm Engineering Corp. was established in 1978 by a group of professional engineers who recognized a growing need for integrated, technically rigorous engineering consulting services in the Greater Toronto Area. What began as a two-person structural engineering practice has evolved into a full-service multidisciplinary firm employing 180 professionals across offices in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. Our growth has been driven by a consistent commitment to technical quality, professional integrity, and long-term client relationships built on trust and measurable project outcomes.

Over the course of four decades, our team has delivered engineering solutions for more than 4,200 projects spanning commercial high-rises, industrial processing facilities, municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, transportation corridors, healthcare institutions, educational campuses, and energy generation assets. We have navigated multiple economic cycles, evolving building codes, shifting regulatory landscapes, and advancements in construction technology, adapting our practice continuously to remain at the forefront of the profession while maintaining the core values that have defined our firm since its founding.

Today, OXM Engine operates with a flat organizational structure that emphasizes technical mentorship, peer review, and collaborative problem-solving. Every project, regardless of size, is assigned a principal engineer who provides direct technical oversight and serves as the clients primary point of contact. We believe this structure produces better engineering outcomes than hierarchical corporate models because it keeps experienced engineers directly engaged with project decisions rather than buried in administrative processes.

Our Leadership

The firm is led by a management team with combined engineering experience exceeding 150 years. Our principals hold professional engineering licenses in multiple Canadian provinces and US states, with specialization in structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering disciplines. Each principal maintains active involvement in professional organizations including Professional Engineers Ontario, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, and the Canadian Standards Association technical committees.

Our commitment to continuing education is reflected in mandatory annual technical training for all engineering staff, funding for professional development coursework and conference attendance, and an internal technical bulletin program that disseminates lessons learned across the organization. We maintain subscriptions to all major building codes, industry standards, and reference publications, ensuring our design practices reflect the most current regulatory and technical requirements in every jurisdiction where we work.
